TBD is Ineza Mugisha, Anika Venkatesh, and Nikan Kanate, three classically trained singers who met while studying music at the University of Toronto, and whose voices defy genre. Garnering immediate attention after they began posting covers on social media in October 2023, TBD is a vocal trio with a love for music ranging from folk to R&B. Their intricate original arrangements along with their signature "one-voice" blend can be attributed to their wide musical experiences and close friendship. Recent projects include a live version of "Wake Up" by fellow Toronto artist, Majo, off her recent EP, "Things I Never Said," and a live show in Toronto with friends and folk duo Seasonal Birds, their sole Toronto live show in June 2024 to a soldout audience alongside friends and folk duo, Seasonal Birds, where the two groups donated 25% of the proceeds to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund to aid the medical and humanitarian crises faced by Palestinian youths in Gaza. They were recently in Vancouver, working alongside Couch Jams Collective to produce solo and choral vocal workshops and a live performance with the Couch Jams House Band. Ineza, Anika, and Nikan continue to pursue individual projects and hope to keep making music together. As early-career musicians, TBD is just that - to be determined.
