Orpheus Choir: A Ceremony of Carols

  • Calvin Presbyterian Church 26 Delisle Avenue Toronto, ON, M4V 1S5 Canada (map)

The divine harmonic writing of Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols has long been a beloved staple of the holiday repertoire. Featuring harp accompaniment and the voices of the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, this candle-lit concert will see a rare performance of Reena Esmail’s Winter Breviary - a piece dedicated to the beauty of darkness and light and composed using three separate Hindustani Raags.

Anika is a Sidgwick Scholar with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto.
